📌 5 tips to get better value from your internet plan
- ✓ Buy your own modem and router. ISP equipment rental typically costs $10 to $15/month. A $100 modem pays for itself in 7 to 10 months and saves $120 to $180/year after that.
- ✓ Downgrade if you have more speed than you need. Most households need 100 to 300 Mbps. If you are paying for gigabit but only browse and stream, dropping to a 300 Mbps plan can save $20 to $40/month with no noticeable difference.
