UUID/GUID Generator: Create Unique Identifiers Instantly

Generate version 4 UUIDs and GUIDs with a single click. Copy individual IDs or generate batches for databases, APIs, and testing.

What It Does

The UUID/GUID Generator creates universally unique identifiers using the version 4 (random) algorithm. Each UUID is a 128-bit number formatted as 32 hexadecimal digits in groups separated by hyphens. The generator produces cryptographically random values.

How to Use It

Click Generate to create a new UUID. Click again for another unique ID. Generate multiple UUIDs at once by setting a batch count. Copy individual UUIDs or the entire batch. Toggle between uppercase and lowercase output.

Tips & Tricks

Version 4 UUIDs are random and do not contain any embedded information like timestamps. The chance of generating two identical UUIDs is astronomically small but not zero. Use bulk generation to prepare ID sets for database seeding.

Use Cases

Developers generate unique identifiers for database records and API resources. Testers create test data with realistic UUID primary keys. System architects design distributed systems that need globally unique identifiers.
